Description
n 1988 Irma Galvan opened a small sandwich shop in an old house within downtown's warehouse district, soon converting the menu to Mexican fare and creating a welcoming environment rarely found in restaurants. Along with her four children, Irma began a culture solely driven by faith, service and food. Irma Galvan has been featured on the Food Network and is a recipient of the James Beard Award.
Irma's oldest son, Louis Galvan, and business partner, Bruce Williams, opened Irma's Southwest in 1998. Penned a 'city slicker' by the Houston Chronicle, it brought a sophisticated edge while staying true to the core ideals and soon gained the same elite reputation as the original Irma's.
Irma's Southwest remains true to our core values, faith, neighborly service, and great food. We continue to serve our beloved Mexican fare, along with fresh seafood filets and exotic wild game from the Texas Hill Country.
Blessings, Welcome & Enjoy!
