A great cellar is more than just a place to store wine. It’s a prime space where the Malbec can age, the pinot grigio can chill, and fresh vegetables can sustain until it’s time for dinner. Cellar 7 Bar & Bites is such a space, and it recently made its debut in downtown Houston.

Cellar 7 Bar & Bites is located at 610 Main Street, along the METRORail Red Line where businessmen, college students and tourists frequent daily. However, it’s not only the location that makes this restaurant a must-visit when in the area. Cellar 7 is the newest addition to the District 7 family of restaurants. From District 7 Pizzeria to The District restaurant literally right next door, Cellar 7 is the seventh property that owners Shelley and Babak Elham have brought to fruition.
And as part wine bar, part restaurant and part event space, Cellar 7 can host a variety of events from bridal showers to business meetings. The venue also offers a happy hour, along with a menu that consists of hand-tossed pizzas and seafood items such as their grilled oysters and sautéed calamari.

Cellar 7 is open seven days a week starting at 4 p.m., and there’s no need for reservations. Just stop by to see why this cellar is a pretty great space.
