A staple tradition for the holidays in Downtown Houston, Texas Winter Lights at the Marriott Marquis Houston illuminates the Altitude Rooftop & Pool with 1,500+ glittering lights, dozens of Instagram-worthy displays, and a series of new experiences to surprise and delight all the senses. Breathtaking in any season, the famed Texas-shaped lazy river comes alive during Texas Winter Lights with floating orbs, colorful archways overhead, and a nearby grove of trees adorned in bright white lights. Guests can soak in the ambiance while floating in the 80-degree water and sipping a hot toddy spiked with seasonal flavors.
New additions for 2023 include:
An intimate six-course dinner served in the Gastrodome (private igloo) overlooking Houston on Altitude Rooftop. A feast for the senses, menu highlights include braised short rib stuffed Texas quail paired with a beer flight tasting, lump crab cake paired with a mead tasting and a delectable Texas-shaped mousse cake. Igloos can accommodate parties of up to ten guests, and reservations are required.
Guests will be able to hop aboard Santa’s sleigh and let the reindeer whisk them away as part of a virtual reality experience. (Additional fee).
Concerts Under the Stars will enchant all who spend an evening taking in the lights while listening to the sounds of the holiday season. Concerts will be held on December 6, 13, 16, and 20.
A Texas Winter Lights hotel package will be offered for travelers and staycationers looking to be immersed in the magic. Event tickets and a room overlooking the Altitude Rooftop will be included. Pricing begins at $199.
