Description
KUU is Japanese for the art of eating. It is the philosophy of our cuisine and is infused in every aspect of the dining experience — from the flavors, textures and presentations of our menu items, to the carefully curated cocktail and wine list and beautiful yakisugi wood tables. The intent is that our guests enjoy a modern Japanese dining experience unlike anywhere else.
With a passion for both tradition and modern culinary trends, Chef Adison Lee, a protege of famed celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, takes the best from both eras to create a diverse, ever- changing menu that is truly flavorful and unique. The best seasonal ingredients are sourced locally.
Starting with a base of choice cuts of fish, Lee combines flavor and texture to create art. Expect to find a full spectrum of creative menu items that include sushi and sashimi as well as new spins on traditional fare, such as Kanpaccio, which features kanpachi sashimi, Texas oranges, pickled grapes and shallots, Thai chilis and cilantro, or from the hot menu, perfectly seared scallops served with a 60-degree egg, house cured bacon, yuzu yogurt and roasted fennel.
KUU is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and dinner only on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy happy hour food and drink specials weekdays from 4:30 to 6:30.
